Hello! My name is Caitlyn, and I am a fourth-year Biological Sciences major with a minor in Psychological Sciences. I am from the Bay Area and enjoy chill nights in watching movies as well as going out to explore new places. I am super excited to serve as one of IMED’s Co-Presidents this year!
I joined IMED during my first year and have been involved ever since. From being a general member, Mentorship and Social Intern, HealthSmart & HART4ALL Co-Coordinator, and now Co-President has been an incredibly fulfilling experience. I was originally drawn to IMED because of its diverse opportunities that combine community service, medical outreach, and advocacy for underserved communities. We strive to create a welcoming and kind culture where everyone feels free to explore their interests and connect with like-minded peers. As a pre-health, first-generation student, navigating college was and continues to be challenging, so I am incredibly grateful to have found such a supportive community in IMED that aligns so closely with my passions! :D

Hi everyone! My name is Arya and I am a 4th year Neurobiology major and Health Informatics minor! I am also an EMT and am passionate about emergency medicine and critical care, on the premed track! Outside of school, I love nature and the beach, sports, coffee, hiking, and relaxing with friends and family. I joined IMED during my second year and was immediately welcomed into a group of people who shared similar interests and genuine passion for health, education, and service. What I appreciated most was the breadth of IMED’s mission, which creates space for members to engage in ways that align with their distinct interests and strengths. Beyond the mission, I love how the culture is authentic and collaborative, and people are always willing to support and learn from one another.

Hi everyone! My name is Neha, and I am a 4th year neurobiology major aspiring to become a psychiatrist. In addition to IMED, I love visiting new cafes, binging old shows, hanging out with friends, and working out! I joined IMED my freshman year because I heard how it practically “had everything” and soon came to realize it wasn’t just the opportunities that made me stay, but it was the welcoming members and board! Going from mentorship and social intern to global actions coordinator to now vice president has allowed me to give back to the community in various ways and I am looking forward to getting to know and working with all of you!

Hello everyone! My name is Stephanie and I am a 3rd year Biological Sciences major, on the pre-PA track. I love crafting, so in my free time, I am often crocheting, sewing, or drawing/painting (once I get over my art block). I am very excited to be the Secretary of IMED this year! I have been in IMED since my first year, and what initially drew me in was the mission statement as well as the community that came along with it. I am passionate about increasing accessibility to healthcare, which IMED offers through its diverse experiences with our seven different projects. Along the way, I have been lucky enough to come across wonderful people, both our board and general board members, all with the same goals -- culminating into such a welcoming community that continues to inspire me to work towards this passion everyday :)

Hello everyone!! My name is Mary, and I’m a Human Biology major with a double major in Film & Media Studies. I joined IMED driven by my passion for global health, service, and community, and over time it has become a space where I’ve grown both academically and personally. Being part of IMED has helped me build confidence, leadership skills, and meaningful connections with people who constantly inspire me. Navigating college while balancing multiple passions hasn’t always been easy, but this community has continuously reminded me of my purpose and strengths. I’m deeply interested in pediatric medicine and working with underserved populations, and IMED has reinforced my desire to serve with empathy and intention.

Hi everyone! My name is Roshni Shah, I am a second year biological sciences major on the pre-med track. I am one of the Health-smart Co-coordinators at IMED where I am incredibly passionate about promoting health awareness and education. In my free time, I love snowboarding, photography, and travelling to gain new perspectives and experiences. I joined IMED my first year and from the start I felt so incredibly welcomed and comfortable, even within such a competitive field. Everyone in the club has aways to be uplifting and willing to help! IMED has helped me grow immensely as a person, by allowing me to giving back to the community and teaching more underserved communities about healthcare. I truly believe that having a supportive community with shared passions and goals is vital for both personal growth and success. Hi everyone!! My name is Maiza, and I am a 3rd year majoring in Public Health Sciences with a minor in Chicano/Latino Studies. I am an aspiring pediatric gastroenterologist with a strong passion specifically geared towards improving healthcare access, education, and mentorship to promote uplifting underserved communities. In joining IMED I found a group of like-minded individuals with similar goals in healthcare, but most importantly, IMED's club culture has provided a beautiful space for growth and inclusivity. This allowed me to begin fostering my own role in the club as a HealthSmart Co-coordinator with that same attitude of prioritizing inclusivity, supporting one another and building genuine connection amongst our general members. Hi everyone! My name is Elena, and I am one of the Healthsmart/HART4ALL Co-Coordinators! I am a 2nd-year student majoring in Nursing Science and minoring in Spanish/English Bilingual Education. I love reading my Bible, weightlifting, meeting new people, and exploring new places! I originally joined IMED because of the various opportunities it offered, but soon learned that there is so much more to this club. Aside from volunteering with IMED's projects, I have had the chance to meet amazing people, learn from guest speakers, try new things, and make an impact in the healthcare world. My favorite part about IMED is that the environment is always so fun and welcoming. I love working with our amazing board and meeting the members as well! Hi! My name is Preyoni and I usually go by Pre. I am a fourth-year Biochemistry and Molecular Biology major. Outside of school and work, you'll likely find me journaling, gaming, working out, cooking/baking, or hanging out with my cat, Howl! I've been involved with IMED since my junior year and I've learned so much from every opportunity that IMED has provided. From being a mentee in the Mentorship program to volunteering at Laura's House, every experience with IMED has reaffirmed my gratitude to be a part of an empowering, inclusive community! Hi! I’m Simran, but I also go by Simmy. I’m a fourth-year Biological Sciences major on the pre-med track. I love traveling, trying new food spots, playing tennis, and getting way too excited about anything related to astronomy. I joined IMED because I wanted to be part of something bigger than myself and help expand access to healthcare for underserved communities. One of my favorite parts of being in IMED is seeing the direct impact we make while building genuine friendships with people who share the same passion for service. A highlight for me was my first trip to the orphanage in Tijuana, where playing with the kids and leading educational activities was incredibly rewarding. That experience made me even more grateful to be part of IMED and motivated me to stay involved.

Hello! My name is Drishti Sanghavi, and I’m a third-year Biology major. Fun fact about me, I have a twin sister! As someone who has always aspired to work in the medical field, it was initially challenging to determine where to begin, particularly during the transition from another major. After joining the club, I not only found a community that resonated with my struggles, but also one that helped me work toward my goals and gain perspective on the field through its various projects. Hi everyone! My name is Reyna, and I'm a fourth year Genetics major and Medical Anthropology minor. I joined IMED during the start of my third year, and I'm excited to serve as one of the Outreach Coordinators this year! I joined IMED because I was drawn to the meaningful volunteering opportunities and the genuine sense of community within the club. Being part of IMED has shown me how supportive and uplifting a health student organization can be, and it’s helped me recognize my strengths while boosting my confidence. The people I’ve met have made navigating college feel less overwhelming and so much more rewarding. Through IMED, I’ve grown both personally and professionally, and I’m grateful for the encouragement and friendships I’ve found here. Hi everyone! My name is Carolina, and I am a fourth year double majoring in Public Health Sciences and Chicanx/Latinx Studies. As a first-generation student, my journey through higher education has been shaped by resilience, community, and a strong desire to give back. I joined IMED my third year as a transfer student in which I was looking for a community but instead I found a family. I started as an Orphanage intern, later becoming a coordinator which has gifted me the opportunity in bridging the gaps in STEM at a local and international level. I joined IMED because I was looking for a space that genuinely valued mentorship, service, and community, especially for students navigating college without a roadmap. My favorite part about being in IMED is the sense of belonging. It truly is a community where I feel supported, seen, and encouraged to grow both personally and professionally. Through IMED, I’ve been able to connect with people who share similar backgrounds and passions for serving underserved communities. In addition to IMED, I enjoy trying new foods (yes, I'm a huge foodie), binge watching shows, and most importantly spending time with friends & family.

Hello everyone! My name is Monica, and I am a 3rd year Biological Sciences major with a minor in Health Informatics! Being part of IMED has provided me with so many different opportunities and has really strengthened my passion to help my community. Outside of IMED I love getting coffee/food with friends, going to the beach, and having friends over! :) I joined IMED because of the inclusive and friendly environment that they offer! This club made me feel comfortable when I first join and truly made them stand out from other pre-health clubs! Some of my favorite events include the orphanage trip and the Child Development Screening events. It has been an amazing experience and I hope others can benefit from IMED as much as I do!

I joined IMED as a fundraising intern during my second year, and decided to pursue being a fundraising co-coordinator because I really loved the inclusive environment of IMED. In addition to IMED, I love exploring new places, going to try new restaurants, and watching movies with my friends! IMED has really helped me hone into the vast skill set that is needed to be on board and I am very grateful for that! My favorite part of being in IMED is always having an activity that I can give back through. I think one of the best qualities of IMED is the variety of events that we host, and how they make it so accessible for club members to participate in them. I love having the opportunity to learn about the missions of different organizations that IMED works with, and connect to the communities that we are working to give back to.

Hi everyone! My name is Liam Huston, and I’m a fourth-year Biological Sciences major at UC Irvine with a strong interest in sports medicine and physical therapy. I’ve been involved in IMED for several years now, and through the club I’ve grown a real passion for community service and working with underserved populations. Navigating college hasn’t always been easy, but being part of IMED has given me a strong support system and helped me build confidence in myself and my leadership. Through my experiences here, I’ve learned a lot about my strengths, teamwork, and the importance of giving back. Outside of IMED, I enjoy staying active, going to the gym, playing and watching basketball, and spending time with friends. I’m excited to continue growing with this community and to keep making a positive impact together. My favorite part about being in IMED is the strong sense of community and shared passion for helping others. I hope to pursue a career either in surgery or in research, particularly in genomics or molecular-based fields. I was first introduced to IMED during my first year, but I became more actively involved in my second year, where I also had the opportunity to serve as the Publicity Intern. I was drawn to IMED because of its strong commitment to diversity, the wide range of programs it offers, and a mission that deeply aligns with my own goals and values.
