OUTREACH

The Outreach Project includes the Clinic and Spirit League sub-projects.

TOTALCARE Clinic

TotalCare Clinic is a year-long project in which IMED partners up with TotalCare to provide volunteering and shadowing opportunities for members. As a volunteer, you will be able to gain medical exposure through administrative work, such as checking in patients and scheduling appointments, along with gaining medical assistant experience, including but not limited to vital signs recording and prescription writing for patients. You will also be able to shadow different health care professionals, strengthen your team working skills, and reassure your long-term goals!

Spirit League is an organization that helps kids with disabilities play different sports like soccer, basketball, and baseball each quarter. IMED has the phenomenal opportunity to work with Spirit League year round. As volunteers, we get to help kids of all ages learn how to work as a team, exercise, learn a sport, and have fun! It is an amazing experience to be able to work with kids every Saturday and see them light up when they make a goal, shoot a basket, or hit a home run. Over a course of 10 weeks, you really see kids grow and truly become amazing athletes. It is the most rewarding and fulfilling experience to know that you are helping all these athletes improve and develop new skills. As a volunteer, you will make lifelong bonds with the kids, parents, volunteers, and staff. It is one of IMED's greatest year-long projects so, if you have time, please join!
